I'm searching for Anna Fenton, born 1790 in Washington Co., NY. She married Elijah Wood in 1808, they lived in Delaware Co., NY. He died in 1828 or 29. She continued to live there and raise their 9 children until 1844 when she followed her son, Elijah to Detroit, Michigan. She died in 1888 while living with her daughter "Mrs. White" in Kouts, Indiana. Need Anna and Elijah's parent's names, also their children's names. Anna's parents were born in Ireland.
Good afternoon,
I'm trying to connect my Fenton Mosher Brown, born 1807, NC or TN, to any known Fenton line. I am sure that this first name connects to a Fenton line somewhere as the name has been carried for many generations. His brothers were named James, William and, possibly, Thomas and Henry. Does anyone have a Fenton line in VA or NC in the late 1700s/early 1800s which connect with either a Brown or Mosher/Musher (or any other phonetic spelling)?
Any help at all would be much appreciated. This line has been extensively studied for many, many years and Fenton M. Brown is our brick wall.
Thank you and have a wonderful afternoon!
Dusti
Les, great job! Not many people understand the dedication to putting these websites together, but also the time involved in keeping them running. Thank you for your help in promoting the clan Fenton society. My hopes are to rebuild the clan, and give it standing as it once had among the other great families in Scotland.
Like The new website. Although I have visited many times, I have not been here in a long time and my email address has changed since I first visited back in the old millenium. Good to have you back and able to do this again Les. Keep up the GOOD work.
Hi Les; Very interesting site! My first husband was Frank Fenton b.1924 in Rockledge, Montgomery Co. PA. d.1985 in Avon, CT. So my children are Fentons. Their first Fenton ancestor to come here was Eleazer who settled in Burlington Co. NJ in 1676.His son, Ephraim, moved across the Delaware River into Plumstead Township, Bucks Co. PA. and later descendents spread out from there. Marion Doan Fenton Kane
