For those who are watching The FIG Tree News articles that are being added, this tool will allow you to be notified when they have been added automatically. You will just need to check you mail program, browser, or RSS reader. I am finding this to be a great tool if you want to keep up-to-date with things that are going on, but you don't want to have to go to the website to check it out and see if anything has changed.
Microsoft Outlook 2007 allows you to add feeds to your mail program. This will allow you to be notified of changes automatically. You can also add RSS feeds to many browsers, but this requires that you open the browser and check if you have any new feeds that have arrived.
There are also a number of RSS readers out there. Here is a list of a few of them, but I can not recommend any of them (since I really haven't tried them out):
Snarfer - http://www.snarfware.com/
Newsgator - http://www.newsgator.com/
Newzcrawler - http://www.newzcrawler.com/
Tristana - http://www.tristana.org/
If you have a reader that you would like to recommend, please let me know.
